  • Abraham Lincoln Book Award
    What?

The Abraham Lincoln Award is an Illinois reading initiative for high school students that is awarded annually to the author of the book voted as most outstanding by participating students in grades nine through twelve. The award is named for Abraham Lincoln, one of Illinois’ most famous residents and himself an avid reader and noted author. The Abraham Lincoln Award is designed to encourage high school students (YOU!) to read for personal satisfaction and become familiar with authors. To be eligible to vote you must read at least five (5) of the twenty two titles nominated.

    1. Check out the list of books in the library and choose a book that looks interesting to you.

    2. Go to the school or public library and check out the Abe book display to select your book.

    3. READ YOUR BOOK

    4. Submit your book evaluation to Ms. Bergeron in the library.

    5. Brag to your friends that you are getting free stuff from the library.
