ID POLICY

Permanent IDs–According to District 206 Board Policy, a student must wear an ID card that is visible on a school-issued breakaway lanyard around their neck at all times, and is required to show that ID card when boarding buses and when requested by any staff member, security person, or the bus driver. Failure to present an ID card when requested will result in disciplinary action. IDs must not be defaced in any way. Such things as stickers, magic markers, drawing and any other defacement in any way are strictly prohibited. This will result disciplinary action.

Temporary IDs–Students are allowed 3 temporary one-day IDs for the entire school year. After these temporary IDs have been used, the students are required to purchase a new ID for $5.00 and a breakaway lanyard for $1.00. Temporary IDs must be worn on the upper left chest and must not be defaced in any way.

  • Only one loan for a regular ID per school year.

  • Only 3 free temporary IDs per school year.

  • Additional temporaries may be purchased for $1.00. If unable to pay, a behavior ticket will be issued and the student will be sent to the dean where they can contact home for the money or be sent to ISS for the remainder of the day.

  • When requesting temporary ID#7, the dollar will be charged and a Mischievous referral to the dean will be written for violation of the ID policy.

  • When requesting temporary ID#8, the dollar will be charged and a permanent ID will be issued. If a lanyard is needed, it will be issued at that time at no additional cost. At this time, a Severe referral to the dean will be written for overt defiance of the ID policy.

  • After the request for ID#8, all subsequent requests for temporaries cost $1.00 and will result in a Severe referral to the dean.
